April 9th - Ellen McNab Died in the Board kiln house of Consumption at half past eleven O'Clock P.M.
April 30th - Paid this day $200.00. It was to pay on the debt of the Presbyterian Meeting house. the debt on the House was $5100.00 Enough was subscribed to pay said debt.
24th - Maria Geddes + John Spear were married.
31st - George Renwick of Salem Died of Inflamation of the Lungs.
June 11th - John Geddes just started to Chicago to see something of the World + look out for himself.
June 24th - John Speer + Henry Haler got into a -ifs
25th - John Speer + Maria his wife left here for the State of New York but slept in Detroit.
July 8th - John Geddes just returned home by the Lakes.
26th - James Greenin Died of Consumption aged ----. He is the last of that family. Robert Geddes Finished Hauling Wheat in. Wages in Harvest $2.25 per Bu. + $1.50 Making hay. Wheat crop good. ----- ----- - --- -- ---. Robert Geddes sold his wool for 60 --
August 23rd - John Chambers Barn was struck by lightening and Burnt in theis School District. the Barn was worth $100.00, Insurance $50.00.
29th - Thermometer 32°. Quite a Frost injured the Corn and Killed the Buckwheat.
Sept 18th - Ther. 27°, Sept 29. Bought a Cook Stove $30.00.
August - John Bell Johnson Called to see Robert Geddes and myself. He went away the same day.
1863, November 9th - Ellen Botsford + D. L. Godfrey were Married to day, this afternoon at Smith Botsford house. The Homestead where they, Botsfords, were born and raised. They made no party. The Bride + Groom started on to Wedding -----. (Ellen is 31 years old). Elba Lapeer Co. Where the Groom resides. The same afternoon they were married.
Dec 24th - The coldest snowiest in Dec. was 04° degrees above Zero. The 24th, no other month was lower than 10° degrees. No Sleighing this month.
